Banned in China

Turns out Rusty Idols is blocked in China. I don't know if it's content or having the words 'lefty libertarian' in my profile, or just being a political blog at all.

Give Great Firewall of China a try and find out where you stand.

Update: It seems variable, different attempts give different results.

Comrade! I am pleased to report that Buckdog is available in the People's Republic of China. This makes me very happy indeed!

I am banned, but Eugene Plawiuk's is accepted! I think my ban is due to writing an article last summer that examined the possibility of a revolution occurring in China in the next few years

Depending on when I try it and what route the connection uses it seems to get through about half the time. It seems Chinese net censorship attempts - or the Great Firewall website- are kind of hit and miss.

It reminds me of a line by Grant Morrison: "They can cover the world in video cameras, but they can't stop the guys in the monitoring rooms from goofing off and playing Doom."
