You wanted to go there? Fine.

Jason Cherniak trumpeted vague guilt by association smears against the NDP with a breathtaking paucity of evidence. Surely, once being videotaped being polite to people who approach you in public is trumped by Lesley Hughes, running for the Liberals in Kildonan-St. Paul going on the record making 9/11 truther claims that are unambiguously antisemitic.
German Intelligence (BND) claims to have warned the U.S. last June, the Israeli Mossad and Russian Intelligence in August. Israeli businesses, which had offices in the Towers, vacated the premises a week before the attacks, breaking their lease to do it. About 3000 Americans working there were not so lucky.
Like Doctor Dawg, I eagerly await Jason's blistering denunciation of the Liberal Party for being so welcoming to hatemongers.

Update: Bye Lesley.

If you are looking for a cognitive dissonance chuckle, check out Cherniak gamely arguing that it's much worse that Jack Layton failed to be actively rude to some people who approached him in public on camera than that a Liberal candidate is spouting Jewish conspiracy theories.

As they say in Texas, 'Well, Bless his heart. At least he tries.'

UPDATE 2: In the interest of fairness here's Lesley Hughes response. I still think what she wrote is too close to 'The Jews were warned to stay home' for comfort, as well as being factually wrong - the Israeli company in question apparently still had employees working in the tower office packing up on 9/11 - but she should probably get the benefit of doubt.

Liberals should take a long hard look at the Liberal operative whose childish games of smear and defamation led to only one party taking any damage - his own.

What DOES one do when one's logic fails to make sense but is too proud to admit it?
